An independent, nonpartisan organization, Cities of Service was started in 2009 by New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. Today, the Cities of Service coalition is comprised of over 215 cities in the US and UK, representing nearly 55 million people in 45 states, and more than 10 million people in the UK.Cities of Service is changing the paradigm of how government and its citizens work together to bring tangible change, build a community of trust, and create stronger and more vibrant cities with bright futures.
