ABOUT US

ClayForEarth.org serves as a symposium of sustainable solutions that have been proven practical, bringing together the brightest ideas developed through worldwide efforts. Many of the world’s most innovative ideas have taken years to develop. They offer practical solutions to poverty and community degradation. Many of these applications remain relatively unknown.

These feasible solutions and resources can pertain to culture, economy, environment and more. This website is dedicated to making these valuable resources more readily available.

Why ClayForEarth.org?
The name represents the concept that we all need to consider how we can give back, rather than depleting our world's resources. Simple decisions will make all the difference.

What inspired ClayForEarth.org?
While researching for water, power, computer and agricultural solutions for a project in Ngamono, Kenya, we found remarkably practical and innovative solutions. However, it took our teams extensive time and resources to discover and apply them. We recognized how valuable a symposium of solutions and resources would be to others with a desire to make a difference in the most practical sustainable ways possible. ClayForEarth.org is dedicated to making valuable solutions more easily accessible to the world. It can only work if many individuals come together to contribute their knowledge and expertise. It is to those individuals that we offer our thanks for choosing to share because they care.

About the Clay Foundation

Mission Statement:
To provide support for sustainable solutions for livable communities.

Meet Jim and Andy Clay:
The Clay foundation is a natural extension of Jim Clay's and Andy Leebron-Clay's interest in organizations and individuals who are passionate about creating sustainable practices for a livable world. While both Jim and Andy have long professional resumes, they feel the emphasis of the Foundation should be on the efforts and attributes of individuals and organizations that are making a difference.

All of their projects are a direct response to challenges they faced while attempting philanthropic projects in Kenya and the United States. Jim Clay and Andy Leebron-Clay are completing Masters’ work in Sustainable Community Development at Goddard College. Their studies were undertaken, like this website and the Clay Foundation, to enhance ongoing efforts.

Jim Clay has been a successful entrepreneur for forty years specializing in providing long-term health and rehabilitation care to rural communities. Andy Leebron-Clay is a businesswoman and Registered Nurse who, like her husband, thinks the only way to do well is to do good. They are using their combined expertise to do what they can to secure a sustainable world for their grandchildren."
